Auditions
You don’t need to be a professional musician to audition; we want to see a demonstration of proficiency in what you do.
To be a part of our choir and orchestra, you will need to submit a musical resume and recorded audition.
Choir
• Vocalization to show range and tone quality
• Prepare a piece of your choice (aria, art song, a hymn or a broadway piece)
• Tonal sight-reading
• Sing with a quartet a prepared piece to be announced.
Strings
• Two major and two minor 3 octaves scales of your choice
• Two pieces of your choice demonstrating contrast in style/musical period
• Three contrasting standard orchestral excerpts of your choice (refer to link)
• Sight-reading
Winds
• Two major and two minor 2 octaves scales
• Two pieces of your choice demonstrating contrast in style/musical period
• Three contrasting standard orchestral excerpts of your choice (refer to link)
• Sight-reading
your audition packet should include:
• your full name, mailing address, email, and telephone number
• your musical education and performance resume
• video recordings of pre-prepared scales and repertoire
